Against Atlanta:
Thu: Perez
Fri: Pelfrey (I'll be there)
Sat: Santana
Sun: Nieve
Against Washington:
Mon: Hernandez
According to Jerry, any of the starters who have 3 bad outings will be replaced by Jon Niese. 3? I don't think we have enough time to give these guys 3 bad starts to turn it around. Plus, what is a bad start? Is it a loss? What if Ollie gives up 5 runs in 3 innings on Thursday night and the Mets win 6-5? Is that a bad start?

I'd like to se Niese get another shot here, too.
But I can also see sticking w/ the status quo for a few starts each. Ollie has me worried being the first one out of the gates in the second half. I'd really hate to lose the good vibes built up in the last 2 games early.
Omar could also have deals on the table that include Niese, so keeping his value as is would be important by keeping him in AAA as opposed to him possibly having a bad big league start or 2.
I'm not advocating trading Niese...just a thought on why he won't be up & their saying 3 starts each for the rotation guys.
